Today we continued our work with volume in Lesson 6.1 from the text. We're revolving regions around horizontal axes and computing the volume with integrals :)

Today we spent time reviewing for our test tomorrow over Lessons 7-1 to 7-6. Students were given a yellow study guide listing concepts and skills that will be assessed. The assignment, which closely mirrors the test, is from page 510, #1-7 and 8-92 even.
Programming 2: Latest Assignment
Access Holt Online Learning with your UserID and Password to access the online textbook, video tutorials for every lesson, and a variety of other practice materials including practice quizzes for every lesson. You can also use the textbook pages link on the left to directly access pages from the book.
In 2015, the AP tests will given from May 4 to May 15, with the calculus exam on Tuesday, May 5. Our AP Calculus class prepares students for at least the AB Curriculum as oulined in the College Board's course description. Please use the links below to access other available resources.

Math Field Day 2015 was held Friday, March 6, 2015 at U of M Flint. Congratulations to Thomas Warner on his award winning chalk talk on Abelian Groups. More information is avaliable at the Math Field Day website, including results and past problems.
SCHS held our SCHS Hour of Code on December 11, 2014. Check out the link for details.
The Michigan Math Prize Competition test was held on October 7, 2014. Please visit the MMPC website for details on that event and the 2015 edition. Approximately $20,000 in scholarships were awarded through the competition this year. Stayed tuned for information on next year's competition.
